Red Peanuts

This product, also known as groundnuts, comes from Ivory Coast and Guinea. However, it is widely produced in Ivory Coast. It is widely grown in the tropics and subtropics by small and large commercial producers, both as grain legume and as an oil crop. Peanuts are sold wholesale at the Red Light Market in Paynesville, Liberia. They come in various types; such as: red peanut, sub red peanut and white peanut.  The red peanut is also produced in Lofa County, the northern part of Liberia but not in large quantities like in Ivory Coast or Guinea.
